The workshop about teaching experience sharing was help by the Dean of the faculty, Ass. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Phi Ho on April 18th, 2019. The workshop took place at 613 Au Co with the participation of many lecturers of the faculty.

The workshop consists of 2 presentations. One is from Mr. Do Phat Loi and the other one is from Ms. Mary Jane P. Julian.

In the first presentation the lecturer talked about his teaching experience in teaching IELTs. He shared how to apply story telling in teaching IELTs, Writing part 1. It’s interesting because he can make links between the applications with the writing part 1 in IELTs by giving real writing examples to illustrate his points of view.

In the second presentation, the lecturer talked about her experience in teaching students. She opened the presentation with a question: Why did you become a teacher? and then she led us to several sub questions in order to show that how important the teaching job is. To continue, she showed us different viewpoints from different generations to illustrate how difficult the teaching job is and what the gap between lecturers and students is. After sharing her difficulties in teaching students, she talked about the reward that lecturers can receive from the teaching job. In general, teaching is really an honor job that every lecturer and student should know and respect.
